Originally at Camp Half-Blood, there were 12 cabins in a U-shape, one for each of the 12 Olympian Gods. After the Second Titan War, however, cabins were built to support the influx of demigods claimed by minor gods. Currently, there are 20 cabins, and more will be built as more and more minor gods claim demigods for their own.
CABIN ONE: ZEUS Current Counselor: None Current Campers: Eiji Hino - Post Ragnarok Thor, Elsa Arendelle, John Egbert, Tris Prior
This cabin is home to children of Zeus, the god of lightning, thunder and the sky. It looks like a stereotypical Greek building - white marble with big columns in front of it, and a polished bronze door. However, the door has a holographic image on it of thunderbolts. It looks like it's always storming above Zeus' cabin. Inside, a large statue of Zeus is surrounded by bunks.
Children of Zeus can have one or more of these abilities:
- Aerokinesis: This includes ability to move things around in the air, being able to shoot themselves out of traps such as large bodies of water, and in some cases, flight.
- Atmokinesis: The abilities to summon storms and clouds to attack foes.
- Electrokinesis: The ability to call down bolts of lightning. All children of Zeus static-shock people when touched - this is particularly true when children of Zeus are touched by children of Poseidon.
- Enhanced Leadership Qualities: All children of Zeus have the need to be the leader in expeditions and group projects, as their father is the leader of the Olympian gods.
CABIN TWO: HERA
This cabin is basically a big temple to Hera. It's got beautiful foliage covering it and is made of marble. Inside, a large statue of Hera looms over everything.
Since Hera does not 'conduct affairs with mortals', she does not have any demigods. Thus, no one lives in this cabin and there is no furniture inside. CABIN THREE: POSEIDON Current Counselor: Percy Jackson Current Campers: Annie Cresta
As Poseidon is the god of the sea, this cabin is made of materials one would find under the ocean, like seastone, coral, and shells. A salty breeze always runs through it, and there's a trident over the door. It faces Long Island Sound. Inside, the walls are made of gleaming abalone, and there is a fountain cut in half in the center (don't ask). Bunks line the walls. When not spending time in their cabin, Poseidon campers can be found by the lake, Zephyros creek, horseback riding, or on the banks of the Long Island Sound.
Children of Poseidon can have one or more of these abilities:
- Hydrokinesis: The ability to control many aspects of water. For a full listing, visit the Percy Jackson Wiki.
- Geokinesis: Some children of Poseidon can create minor earthquakes.
- Atmokinesis: Some children of Poseidon can summon small hurricanes.
- All Poseidon children have the ability to speak to horses. This includes pegasi and hippocampi.
- All Poseidon campers are excellent shipmates - they can figure out how to sail a boat and make one within minutes of being on it. They also have an internal GPS of sorts on water.
- All Poseidon campers can heal themselves by submerging their wound or their entire body in water.
CABIN FOUR: DEMETER Current Counselor: Jean Prouvaire Current Campers: Mary Stuart - Post-Ragnarok Frigg Naomi Mikano
Children of Demeter, goddess of the harvest, live here. Demeter's cabin is made of wood, with a real thatched roof made of grass. Plants cover the walls and porch, and tomato vines crawl up the sides. A sweet-smelling floral scent wafts in the air near Cabin Four. Demeter's cabin teaches pegasus-riding and can be found near the strawberry fields during free time.
Children of Demeter can have one or more of these abilities:
- Chlorokinesis: The ability to make plants grow and to control plants. This can be used for both battle and aesthetic purposes.
- Some children of Demeter have a natural talent for cooking.
CABIN FIVE: ARES Current Counselor: None Current Campers: Tobias Eaton
Demigods claimed by Ares, god of war, live in this badly painted cabin. It's covered in barbed wire and has a creepy stuffed boar's head on the roof. Loud music is generally playing from it at all hours, much to the chagrin of their neighbors. There are rumors that the area around Ares' cabin is boobytrapped with land mines. The Ares cabin is in charge of initiating new campers - this is often done via a 'swirly' in the camp toilets. They also teach Javelin Throwing at the Archery field.
Children of Ares can have one or more of these abilities:
- All Ares demigods have increased strength and speed.
- All Ares demigods can use any weapon known to man with ease.
- Some Ares children are good tacticians.
- Some Ares children can curse the weapons of their opponents.
- Some Ares children have been gifted the Blessing of Ares in battle - temporary invulnerability.
CABIN SIX: ATHENA Current Counselor: Annabeth Chase Current Campers: Edmund Pevensie, Steve Rogers, Stiles Stilinski - soul piece of Saga
The outside of Athena's cabin is very plain - grey with blue and gold trim, and white curtains in the windows. Inside, however, it's a nerd's playground. There's a large library, a workshop with tables and chairs, SMARTboards - everything you could possibly imagine to help children of Athena - goddess of wisdom - study. There are bunks, but they're pushed to the side of the cabin to make room for more academic tools. Athena cabinmembers guard the Armory and take new campers through it to pick their weapons. Classes about Greek Mythology and Ancient Greek language are taught by the head of this cabin.
Children of Athena can have one or more of these abilities:
- They can be good tacticians.
- All children of Athena have high intelligence and wisdom.
- They can have better than normal hand-eye coordination for hand to hand combat.
- All children of Athena know how to weave instinctively.
CABIN SEVEN: APOLLO Current Counselor: Ariel Enjolras Current Campers: Cosette Fauchelevent, James Buchanan Barnes, Katniss Everdeen
Apollo's cabin is literally the flashiest cabin in camp. Not only is it gaudy - you can hear over the top music or amateur poetry being recited from it at all times - it's also made of solid gold. When light hits it, it's pretty much blinding. Apollo is the god of a plethora of things, so his children tend to be multitalented. The Apollo cabin runs the nightly sing-along by the campfire and also teaches Archery classes most of the time.
Children of Apollo can have one or more of these abilities:
- Photokinesis: The ability to bend light to one's will. With some practice and good training, they may be able to use Virtuakinesis, the power to create illusions, but their illusions are much weaker than those of Iris children.
- Vitakinesis: The ability to heal wounds. Children of Apollo do this by singing a song in tribute to Apollo.
- Children of Apollo have some sort of archery skill.
- They are proficient in the arts of music and poetry.
- Some children of Apollo have a limited ability to prophesize.
- Some children of Apollo who are gifted poets can curse other campers to speak only in types of poetry (rhyming couplets, haiku, limericks, etc.)
CABIN EIGHT: ARTEMIS Leader of Hunters of Artemis: None Current Hunters: Arin Mistry, Elizabeth Comstock Campers Staying in Cabin: None
This cabin is generally vacant for most of the year, unless the Hunters of Artemis are in town. The building is covered in murals of animals during the day, and at night, glows in the moonlight.
To join the Hunters, a girl must swear an oath to Artemis, saying 'I pledge myself to the Goddess Artemis. I turn my back on the company of men, accept eternal maidenhood, and join the Hunt.'
The Hunters of Artemis gain these abilities once they swear fealty to the goddess of the hunt:
- A silver aura, as well as silver hunting gear.
- Superior strength and speed to any mortal or demigod.
- The ability to talk to animals.
- Immortality with a clause - this negates itself if the Hunter falls in love or falls in battle. If a girl falls in love and Artemis favors her, she may transform the girl into an animal.
- Expert archery skills and the ability to summon their weapons at will.
- Silver bow and arrows, as well as two Celestial bronze hunting knives.
- Some Hunters have animal familiars - usually wolves - that hunt at their side.
CABIN NINE: HEPHAESTUS Current Counselor: Leo Valdez Current Campers: Ankh - Shabti, Daenerys Targaryen, Tony Stark
Hephaestus is the god of the forge and of fire, so his cabin is appropriately themed for his campers. It is made of brick and has a large chimney that smoke is always pouring out of. Inside, the cabin has bunks with high tech digital control panels, and a basement with a workshop and every kind of tool one can imagine. It is a rather messy cabin, as blueprints and machine parts are usually strewn everywhere. Hephaestus campers often choose to forge their own weapons at the camp forges rather than to choose a weapon from the Armory.
Some Hephaestus demigods with pyrokinesis abilities also have access to open Bunker 9, a large workshop the size of an aircraft hangar. Here, many unfinished projects and useful tools from past decades of Hephaestus children are stored.
Children of Hephaestus can have one or more of these abilities:
- They are expert builders and mechanics.
- They have the ability to detect and find metal.
- By touching some sort of machinery or technology, they can figure out how it works and how to use it.
-
- Pyrokinesis - This is a rare ability that Hephaestus blesses very few demigods with. The campers of Hephaestus cabin see a certain stigma associated with these 'blessed' demigods, as they are often reckless and destructive with their ability.
- Access to Bunker 9.
- Technokinesis - the ability to manipulate machines or technology with the mind.
CABIN TEN: APHRODITE Current Counselor: Lydia Martin Current Campers: Arthur Pendragon, Heather O'Toole, Noah Miller
The Aphrodite cabin is pretty straightforward being that Aphrodite is the goddess of love and beauty - it looks like a full size Barbie Dream House. Inside, it's lavishly decorated with lots of pink. There's a wall of posters of attractive Hollywood superstars, and each camper has their own chest at the foot of their bed with their name hand-painted on it to store their things in. Aphrodite campers teach pegasus-riding lessons along with the Demeter cabin, and can often be found gossiping about other campers by the lake and tanning. They once had a special cabin initiation rite - a new Aphrodite camper must make someone fall in love, and then break their heart - but this was unofficially done away with by Silena Beauregard, former counselor.
Children of Aphrodite can have one or more of these abilities:
- Control over fashion and makeup.
- Amokinesis - the power to control love and desire. This power can bring even gods to their knees and is one of the strongest powers a demigod can posess.
- Charmspeak - some Aphrodite children have this ability, heightened persuasion skills/a kind of hypnosis where the charmspeaker can persuade someone to do something against their will. This ability can be negated by gold or someone with a strong will.
- All children of Aphrodite can speak fluent French.
- All children of Aphrodite can change their appearances to a point.
- Some children of Aphrodite have the power to curse someone else with 'permanent makeup', which cannot be removed by anyone other than the demigod who set the curse.
- The Blessing of Aphrodite: This is invoked on all Aphrodite cabin members once Aphrodite claims them as their child. It is a permanent makeover that causes the demigod to be at their 'most beautiful self' until the goddess removes the Blessing from them.
CABIN ELEVEN: HERMES Current Counselor: None Current Campers: Dave Strider - son of Janus, Eponine Thenardier, Natalia 'Natasha' Romanova, Tybalt Stratford - Path of Bast
The Hermes cabin is the most run-down of the cabins - but it's slowly getting better. This is due to its' history - before the Second Titan War, it was common for the gods to forget about their children, leaving many children unclaimed. In addition, there were many children of minor gods who did not have a cabin. Because Hermes is not only the messenger god but also the god of travelers, it accepted all unclaimed campers as well as campers whose godly parent did not have a cabin of their own. All new campers stay at the Hermes cabin until they are claimed by their godly parent - this must happen by the age of thirteen, as Percy made the gods swear an oath on the River Styx to do so.
Children of Hermes can have one or more of these abilities:
- All of Hermes' children are skilled at theft and trickery.
- The ability to pick locks with their minds.
- Heightened skills of persuasion.
- Heightened athletic ability.
- The ability to sense traps.
- The ability to craft potions.
- Some Hermes campers have alchemy skills.
CABIN TWELVE: DIONYSUS Current Counselor: None Current Campers: Rene Grantaire
GETTIN CRUNK, WINE, PARTYING HARD, M-M-M-M-M-MADNESS
Dionysus' cabin is a plain cabin with grape vines crawling up the walls. Dance music plays inside, and the cabin is equipped with a blacklight and disco ball, as well as a sound system for hosting parties. The Dionysus children are few and far between, as Dionysus is pretty faithful to his wife, Ariadne. His campers are in charge of picking the strawberries for the Delphi Strawberry Service. They're also quite friendly with the camp nymphs and satyrs.
Children of Dionysus can have one or more of these abilities:
- Chlorokinesis - The ability to manipulate plant life with their mind.
- Some campers are capable of manipulating others' mental states, as Dionysus is also the god of madness.
- Dionysus campers are known for throwing great parties.
- Acting - since Dionysus is the god of theater, his demigods are skilled actors.
CABIN THIRTEEN: HADES Current Counselor: Nico di Angelo Current Campers: Hazel Levesque
The Hades cabin was the first cabin built after the Second Titan War and was designed and built by Nico Di Angelo and undead workers. It is made of obsidian and looks a bit like a crypt, with Greek fire blazing in torches in front of it day and night. Hades campers often have weapons made of Stygian iron - weapons that have been dipped in the River Styx.
Children of Hades can have one or more of these abilities:
- All children of Hades can see people's life auras.
- Necromancy - some children of Hades have the ability to summon the dead to do their bidding.
- Umbrakinesis - some children of Hades can control darkness or shadows.
- Some children of Hades have the ability to sense precious metals in the earth or create them out of raw firmament.
- All children of Hades have the ability to sense when someone they know has died.
- Shadow Travel - Some children of Hades have this ability, where they can slip into tunnels of shadows and reappear somewhere else of their choosing. This method of travel is extremely tiring for Hades children.
- Geokinesis - All children of Hades have some degree of control over rock and the earth.
- All children of Hades can release the souls of dead into the Underworld.
- Some children of Hades can put curses on people.
- Some children of Hades can summon undead warriors or hellfire.
CABIN FOURTEEN: IRIS Current Counselor: Gabriel Novak Current Campers: None
This cabin is painted with murals that look different from different points of view. It has an iridescent roof that looks like it's made of a prism. Inside, each bed has sheets of a different color, and lava lamps and brightly colored velvet posters adorn the walls and shelves. Iris campers can often be found at the Arts and Crafts cabin or helping to facilitate IMs. They also have a bit of a pranking streak.
Children of Iris can have one or more of these abilities:
- Photokinesis - the ability to bend light.
- Virtuakinesis - the ability to create illusions.
- The ability to facilitate Iris Messages without the use of a drachma.
- Good sense of color coordinated and heightened artistic talent.
- Excellent communication skills - effective speakers.
CABIN FIFTEEN: HYPNOS Current Counselor: None Current Campers: None
The Hypnos cabin is very plain outside compared to ones like Iris' or Apollo's, looking like a simple farmhouse. Inside, though, it's very cozy. Each cabin has high thread-count sheets and feather pillows, as well as a fireplace. Warm drinks are always brewing in the cabin. Soft violin music plays, and the air has a comforting scent of fresh laundry. A notable aspect is that above the roaring fireplace, a tree branch from the Underworld drips water from the river Lethe into bowls. These campers tend to be either a bit lazy or on the mischevious side, due to their abilities and natures.
Children of Hypnos can have one or more of these abilities:
- Hypnokinesis - All Hypnos children have some degree of this power. This includes the ability to put others to sleep at its most basic, with the ability to astral project, dream travel, and manipulate the dreams of others as stronger aspects.
- The ability to manipulate and retrieve others' memories.
- The ability to use hypnosis to put someone in a trance.
CABIN SIXTEEN: NEMESIS Current Counselor: None Current Campers:Gale Hawthorne, Allison Argent - Post-Ragnarok Skadi
Nemesis is the goddess of revenge and balance, and her cabin is a split-level ranch house that looks a bit deserted, as the people who inhabit the cabin are few and far between. There's a broken wheel above the door.
Children of Nemesis can have one or more of these abilities:
- Enhanced memory - they will never forget an insult and never go back on a promise.
- Nemesis demigods are extremely good at being dealbrokers.
- Nemesis' children do not have big egos, and often go after those who do.
- They are incredibly loyal allies.
- Nemesis' children often have some sort of bloodlust.
CABIN SEVENTEEN: NIKE Current Counselor: None Current Campers: Scott McCall, Sojourner Ayers-Silva
The cabin of Nike looks much like a little stadium on the outside. It's bigger on the outside than the inside, though - inside it looks like a major league locker room, with half-lockers lining the left and right walls, bunks on the north and south, and benches in the middle. The cabin has a cooler fully stocked with Gatorade and Powerade at all times. Now that the cabin exists, Nike campers often oversee the chariot races, since they're known for their skills in the ring.
Children of Nike can have one or more of the following abilities:
- Enhanced athletic and battle ability.
- Odds generally stacked in their favor.
CABIN EIGHTEEN: HEBE Current Counselor: None Current Campers: None
The cabin of Hebe looks much like a Regency-era manor, and the goddess herself can often be found sitting on the porch, basking in the sunlight enjoying the company of her children - who she doesn't look much older than. Inside the cabin is a small fountain surrounded by twin-sized bunks. A tree with a tire swing was erected by Demeter campers for the Hebe kids to welcome them to their new cabin.
Children of Hebe can have one or more of the following abilities:
- The increased desire to perform services for others.
- Fresh looking skin and hair.
- Decreased aging time.
- Children of Hebe, along with Dionysus kids, are known to throw great parties at their cabin - though they have a different idea of what a 'party' should be like.
CABIN NINETEEN: TYCHE Current Counselor: None Current Campers: None
The cabin of Tyche looks like a small-scale version of the New York-New York casino in Las Vegas, in honor of the state hosting Camp Half-Blood and the goddess of luck and chance. The flashing lights and noises don't seem to keep these campers up, though they definitely bother the Hypnos kids, who aren't too far away.
Children of Tyche can have one or more of the following abilities:
- Like the children of Nike, the odds are often stacked in their favor.
- Heightened senses in deals or gambling.
- Behavior of these children often seems to be 'random'.
- They can manipulate and steal the luck of others.
CABIN TWENTY: HECATE Current Counselor: Natalie Goodman Current Campers: Artemis Fowl - post-ragnarok Loki, Elphaba Thropp, Merlin Drake, Rhys Owens - post Ragnarok Odin, Sadie Kane - path of Isis
Children of Hecate live in a cabin made of old stones that looks to be falling apart. There's writing on one particular stone, and a lot of legends surround it, so the demigods here make sure to take particularly good care of it - a few might even take turns keeping watch over it throughout the day. It's said by Hecate campers that if the stone falls, it will explode and turm everyone near it into a tree. Inside the cabin, the camp's sole television was enchanted by one of the first Hecate cabin campers - it only plays quiz shows. The cabin's current personal favorite is Jeopardy.
Children of Hecate can have one or more of the following abilities:
- Magic - Hecate kids are the only demigods truly doing magic. They can perform incantations in Ancient Greek to do a plethora of things, like creating illusions, fire, summoning items from the Mist, and protecting themselves. It is a hard skill to master, and usually comes with some sort of price if the student does not work hard enough.
- Hecate children can be very good at Jeopardy!.
- Mistforms - very talented magic-users can create Mistforms, bodies made of Mist to do their bidding.
- Levitation - Some Hecate kids can levitate for short periods of time - the current record is one minute.
