All current active prophecies will be maintained at this page.
Prophecies are predictions of the future, generally foretelling of major events that are to happen in the near future. Rarely are prophecies told of events that will happen much later in the future; though there are always exceptions.
Prophecies are generally so cryptic that their true meaning is only clear after the events have come to pass. At Camp Half-Blood, prophecies are spoken through Rachel Elizabeth Dare*, the Oracle of Delphi.
If a camper would like to undertake a quest, they will need to consult the Oracle to receive their prophecy. Undertake quests at your own peril.
At the end of The Last Olympian, you may remember that she spoke the next Great Prophecy since WWII - The Prophecy of Seven.
Except that's not what really happened. You see, in this version of events, the Great Prophecy is a little different - The Prophecy of the Gods.
The gods of all shall heed the call. To storm or fire, the world must fall. Gaea’s vaulted Red Room waits. Halflings as the final bait. An oath to keep with final breath. Friends and foe to the Doors of Death.
All campers at Camp Half-Blood should be aware of this prophecy, and are actively preparing for battle. After all, the Second Olympian War is still a recent memory.
Update: Effective 3/26/2013, Rachel Elizabeth Dare has issued a new prophecy in Camp Half-Blood. It reads as follows:
Mirrored lives and mirrored souls, Fodder for the gods of old. To feast upon their newborn power, Choice to make in the final hour.
It's not too long after that when suddenly individuals who look the same, act the same, and sometimes even have the same name appear in camp... No one's sure what has happened, but they know one thing is true: Camp Half-Blood sticks together.
